Queer Ancestors Project

The Queer Ancestors Project is devoted to forging sturdy relationships between LGBTQI people and our ancestors. Using history as a linchpin, we build community by providing a window to the past through which the larger community can glimpse our collective future.

Agnes was an educator, psychologist, model and a public contemporary LGBT activist in
Mexico. We lost Agnes in 2014 to a hate crime committed by an intimate partner. She planted
seeds of resistance in Mexico, and internationally and her memory lives on in our work for justice and equality. How can our future queer family thank, honor, and invoke Agnes?
